Tea Length Bridal Gown / Lakeland Wedding Photographer

23 May

Jennifer made the perfect bride in her vintage tea length gown. She was up for doing anything, and didn’t run away when our location proved to produce grasshoppers living in between her layers of crinoline! Thank you, Sarah Carey for the amazing make-up, Angela Horn for the jewelry and Lakeland Community Theatre for the bridal gown!

Beauty lies in simplicity.  Beauty speaks through innocence.  Beauty makes itself known through honesty and a sparkling eye.  Beauty shines in a split second of laughter.  Nothing is as beautiful as a beaming bride, in all of her glory.

Tea Length Wedding Gown / Lakeland Wedding Photographer

12 Apr

I have found my new favorite wedding gown designer:  Stephanie James.  I was looking around for wedding gown ideas for a modeling session I am going to be doing in a couple of weeks. The feel is vintage inspired and I thought a tea length wedding gown would be the perfect dress for this stylist shoot. Instantly, Stephanie James’s couture wedding line came up in my browser as I began to search. I instantly fell in love! They are feminine and sophisticated and so very vintage!

I wanted to share some images I found on Stephanie James’ blog.  All of these images are from her site and oh, so gorgeous! Don’t you just love them? Can I get married again and have one of these?

New Business Cards / Lakeland Photographer

12 Apr

I have just used up my last business cards this month and am ready to go a little fancier. This what what my old business card looked like:

This is fine. Clean. Professional. Informational. But I want my business card to show my work. If my images are already on the card, that allows people who see them without taking the extra step of going to my website. Hopefully this will leave them wanting to see more images and they will hop right on the computer and see more!  So, here is the front of my new, improved business card:

And here is the back:

I still need to make some more promotional pamphlets and fliers, but this is a good start. One day I hope my business will be large enough to hire a professional to design all of my business needs. Until then, I have me and my husband. We make a pretty good design team and that makes it all worth it!
